Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions “Company” refers to FPM Fires. “Customer” refers to the individual or entity booking services. “Services” refers to chimney sweeping, multifuel stove installation, and related maintenance services.
2. General Terms 2.1 By booking services with FPM Fires, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 2.2 The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, with updated versions made available on the website. 2.3 All services are subject to availability.
3. Chimney Sweeping Services 3.1 Chimney sweeping includes the removal of soot, creosote, and debris using professional tools and methods. 3.2 The Customer is responsible for providing clear and safe access to the chimney and surrounding areas. 3.3 The Company is not liable for structural issues or blockages discovered during sweeping. These will be reported to the Customer, who may need to seek additional services. 3.4 The Customer must refrain from using the chimney for at least 12 hours before the scheduled sweep.
4. Multifuel Stove Installation Services 4.1 Installation services include fitting the stove, connecting it to the flue, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. 4.2 The Customer must ensure the installation area is prepared and accessible before the scheduled service. 4.3 All installations are subject to a site survey, and any additional work required beyond the initial quotation will be agreed upon before proceeding. 4.4 FPM Fires will ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations and safety standards. 4.5 The Company is not responsible for pre-existing structural issues or non-compliance with building regulations unless explicitly agreed as part of the service.
5. Pricing and Payment 5.1 All prices provided are inclusive of VAT (if applicable) unless stated otherwise. 5.2 A deposit may be required to confirm booking for installation services. 5.3 Full payment is required upon completion of services unless alternative terms are agreed in writing. 5.4 Failure to make payment within the agreed time may result in additional charges or legal action.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling 6.1 Cancellations by the Customer must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid charges. 6.2 The Company reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather or technical issues. 6.3 If the Customer cancels an installation after work has begun, the Customer will be responsible for any costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.
7. Warranties and Liability 7.1 FPM Fires guarantees workmanship for a period of 12 months from the completion date of installation services. 7.2 The Company is not liable for: Damage caused by improper use, maintenance, or third-party alterations. Pre-existing defects or damage to the Customer’s property. Issues arising from failure to follow provided aftercare instructions. 7.3 The Company’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total price of the services provided.
8. Customer Responsibilities 8.1 The Customer must ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and provide access to water and electricity if needed. 8.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the property complies with relevant building and safety regulations.
9. Health and Safety 9.1 FPM Fires adheres to strict health and safety standards to protect both technicians and Customers. 9.2 The Company reserves the right to refuse service if the working environment is deemed unsafe.
10. Complaints and Disputes 10.1 Any complaints must be reported to the Company in writing within 7 days of the service date. 10.2 FPM Fires will make every effort to resolve complaints promptly and fairly. 10.3 In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
